Hi my name is Cassia and I am raising funds for my sweet Nephew and his family.

2 weeks ago Carter was limping and complaining of sore legs. He spiked a high fever and was very painful so my sister (his momma) took him to the ER to be checked out. After 3 hours her entire world was flipped upside down as Carter was showing signs of serious infection and inflammation in his joints.

The hospital immediately sent a referral to McMaster children's hospital and they rushed him there for more testing.

After a very emotional first week in hospital, Carter has been very up and down. Some scary days with low blood pressure and irregular heart beats, bloodwork results showing ongoing infection that keeps improving and then coming back.

Many tests came back negative giving no answers as to what or why...

This poor kid has been poked and prodded and put through so many tests and still we have minimal answers why he is so sick. He's such a strong kid and he's remained so good though all of this.

They're saying he has acute arthritis but he also has an infection

Hes had multiple medication trials that are not producing results they hope for.

After a full 2 weeks in hospital, Carter is hooked up on an iv recieving yet another round of stronger antibiotics.

Stuck in his bed, not the summer he had hoped for, praying for a miracle so he can come home :(

Our whole family is worried sick about this little man and we just want to see him home with his brother and sister and puppy who miss him terribly.

This little boy has lost his 2nd half of summer with no end in sight on when he can go home :(

As you can imagine, this is taking a huge financial toll in addition to the emotional and mental toll on their family.

My sister works so hard to provide for her kids and she has been forced to take at least 4 weeks off of work. I know this is so overwhelming for her and Tyler and want to do anything I can to help alleviate some of the stress. Her partner is picking up the slack at home and could use help with easy meals too.

Hoping to raise funds to help offset wages for Felicia and Tyler during the time Carter has been hospitalized and ongoing until he is released and maybe needs a parent home with him for a few weeks once he goes home.

Parking at the hospital is also super pricey for them.

Gas back and forth is expensive.

Food is costly and they're limited on what they can keep in their room.

I know this family has so many people who love them and will help. Every dollar will go to this family for whatever they need the most.
