Skylar Nichole Bardell was born on July 10th 2025 at 9:49 AM. Everything seemed perfect until Skylar failed her 24 hour testing and had low oxygen levels. Skylar was then transferred to Mercy Hospital in Rockford Illinois. While she was at Mercy Hospital they discovered that Skylar has Total Anomalous Pulmary Venous Return and will need open heart surgery within the next week. Skylar has now been transferred to UW Childrens Hospital. This is our home away from home and we are at ease knowing that she is in good hands. This is a parents worse nightmare and Ethan will be off work to be able to be with his family. UPDATE- June 14th

Skylar has had her open heart surgery today. A lot longer than we expected and a few hiccups but our sweet strong baby girl is still fighting. Please continue to keep Ethan, Claudia, baby Skylar and Dakota in your thoughts and prayers. Our girl has a long road ahead of her but she’s got this!!! ❤️
