Help Support 26th and Broadway's Renovation!
Donation protected
Hello friends of Bill.
I have organized this GoFundMe to raise funds for a long overdue renovation of Serenity Manor (26th and Broadway). The physical conditions have fallen into extreme disrepair and nothing short of a major overhaul is needed to keep 26th and Broadway viable for years to come.
The interior and exterior are truly falling apart. The men’s and women’s bathroom need to be completely renovated. The interior and exterior are about 10 years overdue for repainting. The front and side yard needs a sprinkler system. The lighting needs updating, and the roof needs to be replaced.
I have gathered bids from trusted local contractors and the cost for the needed repairs are not cheap.
I am starting this campaign with an initial goal of $85k. The work will total more like $130k. We need your help!
Like many of you, I got my start at 26th and Broadway and relied on it as a welcoming place to start my life over...more than once!
I hope you can contribute to the restoration of Serenity Manor and spread this campaign to anyone and everyone you know who has gone the doors of 26th and Broadway over the years.
There is no amount too small and obviously no amount too great.
We currently hold 16 meetings a week and after the remodel hope to increase that number to 23! Morning, noon, and night!
The current house we know, and love, was moved from the intersection of 20th and Santa Monica Blvd, and placed on our corner back in 1951! That means 26th and Broadway has been a fixture of recovery and hope in the city of Santa Monica and the West side for 73 years!
Serenity Manor is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit charity. Your donations are tax deductible, and we can provide receipts for your donation.
Thanks for your time and I hope you can join me in this effort.
