Please Help Stacey Get Her Son Back

Dear fellow humans,

My friend, Stacey Harvey is a loving and dedicated mother to an 8-year-old boy (Teddy), who she has not seen in 7 months. Stacey was Teddy’s sole guardian and primary caretaker for the first 7+ years of his life. I have personally witnessed Stacey be the best mother to Teddy that any son could ever ask for, and I can attest to the fact that Teddy loves Stacey to the moon.

Having very little margin for error in her life (single mom with little to no support), Stacey filed for back child support to gain financial support from the father, so she could continue to raise her son and co-parent. While Teddy was in the custody of his father and immediately after filing, Stacey was served an emergency order of protection, citing lack of financial resources as the primary basis for the order. Stacey has not seen her son since.

We, myself and a dozen other friends of Stacey, are establishing this fundraiser with the hope of raising enough to cover her legal expenses for regaining custody and for any ongoing litigation related to the case. The estimated legal expenses for regaining custody are $3500. We are trying to raise $5000 to give her enough to cover the ongoing legal fees she will incur.

Stacey needs the support of friends because she does not have assistance from family. I have gone through some rough experiences in life - where I had little control over circumstances and outcome. I sometimes forget how fortunate I am because my family always has my back. I don’t have to go through tough times alone. So, I am asking you to step up and be the family Stacey needs right now. Whatever you are able to contribute will help reunite a loving mother and her son. Stacey will be forever grateful.
