Dear Friends, Family, and Kindhearted Strangers,
We are reaching out with heavy hearts to ask for your support after a devastating fire destroyed Auntie Roxann and Uncle Eliu's home that they have worked so hard on. The fire spread so quickly, leaving them with nothing but the clothes on their backs. Roxann escaped with just her robe and slippers, and they were lucky to make it out alive. But the fire’s impact is far-reaching, and they need your help to rebuild their lives.
This wasn’t just any ordinary home – it was a safe haven for the animals they lovingly cared for through their work with Loved at Last Dog Rescue. Tragically, they lost five dogs in the fire, including two of their own beloved pets. The loss of these animals, who were like family, is an emotional heartbreak they are struggling to overcome.
The fire was so intense that even the car parked next to the house melted. Uncle Eliu suffered minor burns while trying to rescue the dogs, and Roxann was hospitalized for smoke inhalation. Thankfully, both are recovering, but the trauma they’ve experienced is profound, and the road ahead is long.
Aside from the emotional toll, they’re now facing the exhausting and overwhelming process of dealing with insurance, which has been a nightmare. They have lost so much – their home, their belongings, their pets, and their sense of security.
But even through all this, they are still the same caring, selfless people they’ve always been. They are determined to rebuild, and with your support, we know they will.
Every little bit helps. Whether it's a small donation, sharing their story, or sending them words of encouragement, it will make a world of difference during this incredibly challenging time.
Thank you for your kindness, generosity, and support.
With love and gratitude,
Allison
