In the early hours of Tuesday, 28th October, my husband’s motorbike was stolen from our home. Despite being securely locked and kept behind gates at the back of our house, the thieves managed to take it. We had to watch helplessly as it unfolded on our doorbell camera as we were away at the time.
Unfortunately, due to our current circumstances, his bike insurance had lapsed, the bike had been SORN and we’re unable to recover any of the loss.
This isn’t just about losing a bike - it’s about losing something that meant the world to him. My husband has always used his motorbike to help others:
️ He regularly takes part in charity rides, including Easter egg and Christmas toy runs for local hospitals.
️ He volunteers to ride in funeral escorts, offering comfort and solidarity to grieving families.
️ Earlier this year, he even organised a fundraising ride to help buy an electric wheelchair for one of his former pupils.
He’s always the first to step up when someone needs a hand - whether it’s volunteering, fundraising, or supporting others who’ve had property stolen or damaged.
Now, I’d love the chance to repay his kindness and show him the same generosity he’s shown to so many others.
Every donation, big or small, will go towards replacing his pride and joy and helping him get back to doing what he loves most: riding to help others. I know the biking community are a family who look after their own and so I am reaching out in the hope that I can restore my husbands faith in the good of community.
Thank you so much for your support, kindness, and for sharing this campaign. ❤️
