Hurricane Melissa completely destroyed my father’s family home in St. Elizabeth, one of the hardest-hit areas in Jamaica. The hurricane’s winds tore the entire roof off the home, leaving everything inside exposed to the storm. Furniture, bedding, and cherished belongings were destroyed by rain and debris.
