If you remember our sweet boy Mickey, he was rescued after suffering extreme neglect. His previous owners, and we quote, “were just waiting for him to die.” Despite all he’s overcome, Mickey still struggles to trust strangers. He can’t tolerate being touched by anyone outside his small circle of caregivers. Because of this, every exam or procedure has to be done under anesthesia.

This time, because Mickey is a senior, we needed to do everything at once while he was safely under: his full blood work, all his vaccines, and a complete shave and grooming. We also took X-rays, which showed that his heart is enlarged, so now he needs to see a cardiologist for an echocardiogram.

All of this added up to a very large and unexpected expense. But Mickey deserves the best care and comfort after everything he’s been through. We’re asking for your help to cover Mickey’s medical care and specialist visit. Because after everything he’s endured all he has is you.
