Please help us help our good friend Oscar Hall and his family.
In 2017, Oscar was diagnosed with a rare degenerative muscle condition called Limb-Girdle Muscular Dystrophy 2D. Oscar and his family were originally told that unless there was a cure, Oscar would be confined to a wheelchair by his late teens.
In January of this year, Oscar walked his mum down the aisle on her wedding day. Since that day, the progression of Oscar's condition has been quite aggressive and at the age of 12, Oscar is now confined to his wheelchair.
In three months, Oscar's family has had to attain a new wheelchair, a motorized unit to power the chair, lifting equipment, and equipment to assist with his activities of daily living. His family is now required to purchase a wheelchair-accessible vehicle for Oscar to get around the community and to attend school, therapies, medical appointments, and the day-to-day activities any normal 12-year-old boy engages in.
As heartbreaking and emotionally draining as this has been for the family to watch happen so quickly, Oscar continues to be resilient, strong and tackle anything that is thrown at him.
Your donations will assist Oscar's family with the expenses (such as those listed above) related to his condition. Please share this GoFundMe on your social media and get your friends and family to do the same. Oscar and his wonderful family will be forever grateful for your contributions.
