Please help Olive get her leg surgery! Hi, my name is Rebecca and this is my dog Olive. She is an energetic, super sweet, and definitely goofy pup. She has a big sister, Zoey, who she loves to play with, and her absolute favorite toy is her blue ball. She is such a special girl and an important member of our family and is in need of an unexpected surgery.

Unfortunately, Olive injured her leg yesterday when she squeezed under the deck railing trying to get to a bunny in the backyard and will be needing corrective surgery ASAP.

After the X-ray today, the specialist found the luxation (dislocation) of her left kneecap and also a torn cruciate ligament (known as an ACL tear in people). The specialist is recommending surgical correction to stabilize both abnormalities ASAP.

Needless to say, the cost of this surgery is quite a bit, and her recovery will require multiple follow-up appointments, medications, and physical therapy to get her back to her normal active self.

This unexpected procedure is definitely not something our family had planned or can afford, so that is why I’m reaching out today.
