I’m starting this fundraiser on behalf of my uncle’s family after his heartbreaking passing back home In Hargeisa Somaliland. We are still in shock and trying to come to terms with this loss. He was a loving, kind-hearted man who always tried to take care of the people around him, and now his family is left struggling to get through this difficult time.

My uncle’s family is facing a lot right now as they work to cover funeral expenses, bills, and everyday needs while grieving their loss. We’re hoping to come together to give him the proper farewell he deserves and to help support his family as they try to rebuild their lives.

In Islam, we’re reminded that “Charity does not decrease wealth” (Prophet Muhammad ﷺ) — and that giving in times of hardship is one of the most blessed forms of sadaqah.
