Dear Friends, Family, and community,
I’m reaching out during an incredibly difficult time for my parents Sandra and Zenon Karman, who recently lost their entire home in a tragic fire that started in their gazebo. My nearly 70-year-old parents were taking an afternoon nap when the unimaginable happened. My mom woke up to loud banging and, upon looking out the curtain, saw flames engulfing their back deck. In a panic, she yelled to my dad and rushed to grab a fire extinguisher, tossing it to him as he bravely attempted to put the fire out.
Thanks to the quick arrival of my brother, who instinctively rushed over, both of our parents are still alive today. My mom, thinking my dad could handle the situation, ran to the bathroom to call 911. When my dad realized she was still inside the house, he kicked in the front door to rescue her just moments before the entire structure collapsed. My dad sustained minor burns while trying to save everything they built together.
Unfortunately, my parents didn’t have fire insurance due to the challenges of insuring a home with their heating system in a rural area. Now, they are faced with the daunting task of starting over from scratch at almost 70 years old. My dad has poured his heart and soul into this home, making it a true labor of love and a happy place for our family.
We are completely shattered witnessing them go through this loss. At this time, we are seeking your support to help them rebuild their lives. Any contribution, no matter how small, will make a significant difference and be received with immense gratitude.
Please consider donating to help my parents start anew. Your kindness and generosity will help restore hope and provide them with the support they desperately need during this challenging time.
Thank you for your love, prayers, and support. It means the world to us.
With heartfelt appreciation,
Jennifer Karman
