Hi there!
For those who don’t know me personally, my name is Megan, and I’ve created this GoFundMe to aid my grandmother in the wake of her recent stroke, my grandfathers unexpected passing and the loss of their home.
On August 27th, my Nana lost her partner of 30 years; a one of a kind human that played many roles throughout my life and helped so many along the way.
Immediately following my grandfathers death, for reasons ranging from infestation to structural damage, the trailer has become uninhabitable with the majority of its contents deemed unsalvageable.
The first week of November, she was hospitalized for several days after suffering a stroke and will soon be navigating medical recovery and the lifestyle changes that accompany it.
It’s all so much, so fast.
My Nana and grandpa David have always been our community caregivers, at times literally giving us the shirts off their own backs. Whether it was a home cooked meal or just a gentle reminder of the good that exists in this world, everyone knew that Nana and David’s doors were always open. But now, that door is closing. That’s why I’m here now.
We need your help.
I’m looking to my friends and community to aid my Nana in healing and rebuilding; the impact of my grandfathers passing and her immediate displacement from their home had already begun to take its toll, and she’s now facing medical recovery post-stroke. New doctors, new medications, a new lifestyle on top of what feels like a new life.
Nobody should have to start over at the age of 81, let alone try to navigate it on their own.
I understand that times are incredibly difficult for us all right now, so any efforts to read, share or donate means the world to both myself and my family.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart;
I love and appreciate you all so much.
All funds go directly to my Nana for rent, utilities, medical necessities and everyday expenses .
