My mother, Jharna Rani Das (56), is a homemaker from Bhairabganj and a loving mother of two. I am her son.

In 2021, my mother was diagnosed with breast cancer in her right breast. After undergoing treatment, she recovered and was able to return to her normal life.

Sadly, at the end of 2025, we learned that the cancer had spread to her brain. She subsequently received treatment and radiotherapy at Square Hospital in Dhaka and Apollo Specialised Hospital in Chennai, India.

Tragically, on August 8, 2026, we learned that my mother is now suffering from Stage IV metastatic HER2-positive breast cancer. The cancer has spread to her liver, bones, and left adrenal gland.

Her doctors have recommended treatment with Enhertu, Zoledronic Acid, and Fulvestrant. The estimated cost of this treatment is approximately BDT 392,000 (৳3.92 lakh) per month.

The initial treatment plan is for 6 cycles. Based on the current estimated monthly cost, the first six months of treatment may cost approximately BDT 2.352 million (৳23.52 lakh). After the initial treatment period, her doctors will reassess her condition and response to treatment and determine the next steps.

Our family has already spent more than BDT 6.5 million (৳65 lakh) on her treatment. Our family's primary source of income is a small pharmacy in Bhairabganj Bazar, and we currently have only around BDT 500,000 (৳5 lakh) available for her treatment.

We can no longer afford the ongoing medical expenses on our own. That is why we are humbly asking for your support.
