Hi everyone, I am a 26 year old daughter and breadwinner of a previous english teacher and I am kindly asking help for my 52 year old single mom Jasmin Rimando who’s in the hospital right now. She is born and raised in Pagadian City Philippines, she was very hardworking when she was able to work. After teaching at school she would tutor kids, cook and sell food on the weekends just to augment her income. But now her diabetes has given her a lot of different complications including stroke, gout, sleep apnea, high blood pressure, hypertension, Bell’s Palsy and now she’s undergoing laser eye surgery for her cataracts. It has gotten worse that when I would cry in front of her because of our situation, she can’t even see my tears anymore. Both of her eyes have been affected and could lead to permanent blindness. Her current bill is 300,000 Philippine pesos which is $5,000 not including her eye surgery.. She lives in the Philippines and is being taken care of my 15 year old little sister who had to stop school so she can assist her while walking. My little sister has been diagnosed with mild autism and diabetes as well. I had to stop school and have been providing for them for 8 years, and I was blessed with the opportunity to stay and work here in America. I work at a 9-5 job that is only sufficient for me, my mom and my sister’s needs and bills. Sadly, it is not enough.. Providing for everything has been really tough for me but I am trying to be strong for my family especially that I am miles away from them. Working here in the US and sending money for them is the best option as the currency is a big difference from Philippine peso. Therefore even $1 of a donation would be very helpful.. thank you so much for your time reading our story and for all of your donations. May God bless you.
