Help Me Support Wound Care & Supplies for Local Children in Need...

Hello everyone,

During my time here in Busua, Ghana volunteering with The Mighty Roar programme as part of my final year nursing degree, I’ve had the opportunity to assist with a local wound care clinic providing essential treatment to children in the surrounding community. Many of these children come to us with open wounds, infections, and severe keloid scarring, often worsened by poor access to clean water, sanitation, and medical supplies.

Despite the challenges, we focus on cleaning, dressing, and protecting wounds—but our clinic is struggling. We are desperately short of vital supplies such as wound cleaning solutions, sterile water sachets and dressings. These basic items can make the difference between healing and further infection.

Before I leave Ghana on 12th July, I’m committed to making a difference. I plan to purchase and donate wound care supplies locally to keep this vital service going.

But I’d like to do more.

Many of these children lack proper shoes, school books, and even something as simple as a football to play with. Your donations will help me provide these items directly to the kids who need them most. I’ll be buying from local markets, ensuring your generosity supports both the children and the local economy.
