Please Help My Father Get Back Into His Home

Hi my name is Cindy and I'm raising money for my 82 year old Dad who had a massive heart attack on October 11th 2023. He was in the ICU for 18 days and has been in the hospital for 32 days so far. He has always been active and worked 40 + hours a week at a very physical labor job, as a matter of fact he was getting up to go to work when this happened. He has lived alone for several years and was always so tired after work that he didn't have the energy to work on or repair his home. Our family has offered several times to help but he has always been too proud to accept. Now there is no choice, he can't return home until repairs have been made.

His porch is falling apart, the railings and decking are rotten from the weather, his carpet needs replaced with laminate wood flooring because they say his carpet is a tripping hazard and his bathroom needs completely redone as his toilet is leaking and the floors need replaced, but most of all he needs a walk in shower with a bench seat and safety handles.

My Dad has always been the kind of person who would go out of his way to help anyone in need, from helping waitresses pay bills to stopping to help someone who's car broke down on the side of the road even in his suit straight from church. He loaned several family members money when they were in need, and no matter how much he needed to be paid back, would never ask for it, instead he would do without.

Now he is in need and can not ask for himself.

Any money donated will go to the repairs on his home so he can return and if there is anything left it will go to paying his astronomical ICU/hospital bills.
