Please Help My Father – A Medical Emergency Has Shattered Ou

Dear Friends, Supporters, and Kind-Hearted Souls,

I’m writing this message with a heavy heart and deep pain, asking for help during one of the most difficult times my family has ever faced.

My father, Baldev, a kind and caring man, recently suffered a serious medical emergency that has turned our lives upside down. It all started when he began complaining of sharp pain in the right side of his back. We took him to the doctor, where he was given medication. But instead of getting better, his pain worsened every day.

We went back to the doctor, and this time he was immediately referred to the emergency room. After a series of urgent tests and scans, the doctors gave us devastating news: my father had developed a severe kidney infection, was suffering from kidney stones, and had even experienced a kidney stroke — something we had never even heard of before.

He was admitted right away and spent two long, terrifying weeks in the emergency department, receiving urgent care and fighting for his life. Those days were filled with fear, sleepless nights, and endless worry. Seeing my father in so much pain, connected to machines, struggling to recover, was heartbreaking for all of us.

Once his condition stabilized, the doctors advised us to arrange for a medical flight to send him back to India, where our extended family could continue to care for him, and he could receive follow-up treatment in a more familiar and affordable environment. We did everything we could — paying for the flight, doctor visits, and other medical expenses from our own pockets.

While we are grateful that our insurance helped cover a portion of the hospital and ambulance costs, we are now left with a hospital bill of $83,000, which we must pay out of pocket.

We are a low-income family of three, and we are truly struggling — emotionally, mentally, and financially. We’ve already spent everything we had, and we are under tremendous pressure trying to handle basic living costs while now also facing this massive debt.

It’s incredibly hard for us to ask for help, but we are left with no choice. We are humbly reaching out to our community, friends, and compassionate strangers, asking for any support you can provide.
