Please help, my family lost all in the Almeda fire
There are thousands of victims of the recent Alameda fire in southern Oregon. My Mom and brother are among them. They were evacuated Tuesday (9/8) afternoon and as I’m typing this (9/10) it’s been confirmed that their house and all personal belongings were lost in the blaze. They will be reaching out to the Red Cross for some help and will find food and clothing as well. I’m trying to raise money to help them find a new place to live and help them on the path to getting resettled.
Any way that you can help will be greatly appreciated.
UPDATE*** My mom and brother have found bits of help here and there at the perfect moments when they’ve needed it. Whether it be meals, shoes & clothes, and especially help with hotel stays. A big thank you to the Red Cross, Access, and many local businesses including my mom’s longtime employer, Harry & David Big news came today (10/12) when my mom found out that Access would help with move in expenses if they can find a place ASAP. The biggest problem is that so many lost their homes in the fire that available rentals are nearly impossible to find at the moment. This financial help could fall through if they don’t find a place soon, so I am still accepting donations on their behalf to help at the moment they do find somewhere available to rent. Thank you all again for your help so far and thank you to all those taking the time to read this. May God Bless you all.
