This is as embarrassing and emotionally exhausting as I can explain here. I’ve waited months and thought hard before making this, but we are suffering. My working family of 4, including myself and 2 dogs, have been out of our house for almost 5 months. Before I go on, we all respect and appreciate the work and effort given to fix our house. However, it has been more than exhausting while we waited 3 months just to get approval from a certain insurance company and adjuster while my family and I hopped around looking for places to stay as money ran out, and even paying thousands out of pocket. We are separated, heartbroken, and stressed to say the least. I am starting and commuting to university soon, and I am hopping from place to place praying I have a secure night's rest. In addition, my sister has a growing family herself, and although she no longer lives with us, we want to have our home back in time for the little one so we can have all the time and space for family visits!

A long, draining story short… there was a very long waiting period to get an approval for our house to be worked on and we are told “the adjuster messed up,” meaning we were given very little wiggle room to get the things we need that were either ruined due to water damage or the actual process of fixing our plumbing system. As of right now, we only have concrete covering the trenches and holes that were dug for new pipes as seen in the pictures. There are no floors, cabinets, bathrooms, sinks, kitchen, etc… as I will showcase with pictures to emphasize how bad the damage was. We are waiting yet again to go home because of financial difficulties with insurance and banking.

Our house is pretty old, and the plumbing broke on us completely. Showers, laundry, and simply washing our hands became challenging as our pipes rusted beneath our feet. We thank God for blessing us with the opportunity to get our plumbing fixed, which if you know anything about plumbing and living on a slab, it is a lot of hard and expensive work.

Please help my family and I get back on our feet and into our home we desperately miss and need. We miss our community, friends, and safe place. We are blessed to come this far. Thank you all for your time and support. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
