My name is Dana Ashraf Albawwab, a student in Istanbul.
I created this account after finding some hopes fulfilled in the same way as It turned out that there is still humanity, though limited, but it still exists. Pride holds no meaning when there’s hope to save my father, and I’m not in a position to feel anything other than melancholy and apprehension.
My father is suffering from heart disease and high blood pressure, and his health condition is extremely sensitive. He underwent open-heart surgery and had his aorta replaced a few months ago. His medication will run out in 3 weeks, and his medicine or any alternatives are not available in Gaza.
In fact, the availability of medications in general is not accessible in Gaza strip. After our house was shelled, my family could only escape with the clothes they were wearing.
After being displaced several times in search of a safe place, they are now living in a small room inside a nursery in Rafah for about two months. There is no need to describe the difficulty of the situation. Does anyone still not know that the Gaza Strip is without water, electricity, and healthcare services and food.
My father's leg was fractured while they were rushing to evacuate the house, and he hasn't been able to get it treated since then due to the lack of X-ray facilities or materials for casting.
He now has to walk on it daily to fetch whatever he can for the household needs.
The constant pain and discomfort are causing further damage to his leg.
I worry about him because he is active and loves going for long walks and i want him to remain this way I hope and pray to God for an opportunity to bring my father out of Gaza to ensure he receives proper healthcare and treatment. Despite the blockade and the constant threat of wars, my father chose to return to Gaza willingly a few months before the war, even though his residency in Turkey was still valid. Like many other people from Gaza, he would leave for vacation and return longing for it. Who wouldn't love to live in their own country? And who wants to leave it in the first place? But now, it has become unfit for living.
Gaza is currently under siege, devoid of all basic human necessities. Gaza needs our prayers and for our hearts not to get used this scene I pray to be reunited with my father and my heart rests assured about him.
The Purpose of Fundraising Campaign
I am initiating this fundraising campaign to evacuate my Dad which currently requires $5000 USD.
Below is a comprehensive breakdown of the expenses, provided for transparency and your clear understanding.
*$5000 USD for “Rafah” crossing permit.
*The rest of the expenses will cover the travel and transportation fees. His hospital treatment , medication, and other life necessities. Also for the GoFundMe transaction fees.
اسمي دانة اشرف البواب، طالبة في اسطنبول. انشأت هذا الحساب بعدما وجدت امالاً تحققت بنفس الطريقة، فقد تبين انه لازل هنالك انسانية، مقيدة نعم لكن لازلت حية. يتجاوز الانسان عن كبرياءه في حالة وجود امل فلا معنى له وللخجل عندما يتعلق الامر بسلامة أبي والدي مريض قلب وضغط وحالته الصحيه حساسه جداً حيث انه خضع لعمليه قلب مفتوح وتبديل الشريان الأبهر لقلبه منذ اشهر قليلة، ستنتهي ادويته خلال ٣ اسابيع دواءه و اي بديل له غير متوفر بغزة بل ان توفر الادوية بشكل عام ليس متاحاً في القطاع بعدما تعرض منزلنا للقصف ولم تستطع عائلتي الخروج منه الا بالملابس التي عليهم وبعد نزوحهم عدة مرات بحثاً عن مكانٍ يأويهم، هم الان برفح يسكنون في غرفه تتواجد داخل روضه منذ حوالي شهرين. لا حاجة لوصف صعوبة الوضع فهل لازال من لايعرف ان القطاع بلا ماء وكهرباء بلا خدمات صحية، قدم ابي كسرت عندما كان يركضون لاخلاء البيت ولم يستطع تجبيرها منذ ذلك الوقت لعدم توفره اشعة لتصويرها او مواد لتجبريها وهو الان يضطر يومياً للمشي عليها لجلب ما امكنه جلبه لاحتياجات البيت الالم المتواصل وعدم راحتها يؤدي لتلفها، اخاف عليه فهو نشيط يحب المشي بالساعات واتمنى ان يظل هكذا.. اتمنى من الله ان يكرمنا بفرصة لاخراج والدي من غزة. بالرغم الحصار والتهديد المستمر بالحروب اختار والدي الرجوع لغزة بإرادته قبل الحرب بشهور قليلة كانت لا تزال إقامته في تركيا سارية كغيره من شعب غزة يخرج للاجازة ويرجع مشتاقاً لها يحب العيش في بلاده ومن يريد تركها بالاساس.. لكنها الان أصبحت غير مؤهله للعيش، غزة الان تحت ابادة خالية من كافة احتياجات الإنسان الاساسية، اتمنى من الله ان يحفظ كل من في غزة واتمنى من الانسانية ان لا تموت ولا نعتاد المشهد وان استطيع بهذه الطريقة ان اجتمع بأبي ويطمئن قلبي عليه
