My name is Latoya, I currently reside in the UK but I was born and raised in Water Works, Westmoreland Jamaica. I have created this GoFundMe to help my mother and others within her community to gradually recover from Hurricane Melissa.

My heart is heavy. Hurricane Melissa has completely devastated my community, Water Works in Westmoreland, Jamaica, and the surrounding areas. Many of us have lost everything, our homes are flooded or gone, families are left homeless, and people are struggling without food, water, clothes, electricity or other basic necessities.

It's painful to see my neighbours and loved ones suffer like this. I'm doing all I can to help rebuild and support our community, but we need help. Every donation will go toward providing food, clean water, clothing, batteries, flashlights and shelter for those who've been affected the most.
