Hello everyone,
Mr. Jones is a former firefighter and his wife is a Purple Heart navy veteran. He moved to Florida for a fresh start after his wife got out of the military. She is a 9/11 pentagon survivor. She was blown out of the building and crawled back in to assist fellow sailors escaping the rubble. She also fought in Afg. and Iraq. Both have worked hard to serve their country and community. They work with the unhoused and other marginalized communities to bring awareness and fight for their rights. They have 5 children; 3 girls and 2 boys.
Recently, they have been the target of white supremacists who have stalked, doxxed and falsely called the police as an attempt on their lives. These hateful people have also shown up at their places of employment, resulting in both of them losing their jobs. While dealing with the complete loss of income, their vehicle’s transmission failed and requires replacement. They are at risk of being homeless in a compromised location and without transportation of any kind. They need a safe place to live where their children don’t panic when they hear someone at the door; to be able to sleep at night knowing their family is safe and the ability to continue their work within the community. Too many people are suffering unnecessarily in this country and we need to work together to combat it.
