Please help Mike Lewis save his family home

Hi, this is Kristy Rodriguez , and Kerry Janek (The Friederick girls ), Mike Lewis reached out to us today asking us to please pray for him. I asked him why, and he said that he owes $35,000 in LVISD school taxes that he has not paid . We all know and love Mike. I know that it is really easy to judge and wonder why Mike has not paid his school taxes in 20 years. If you don't mind , I will give you a little insight into this. All of us that know Mike , know that he has always had it difficult. Mike has battled serious medical conditions all of our adult lives. Mike has truly fought depression and suicidal thoughts in his life, and has been hospitalized for this . He expressed to me that he is in such a dark place and if he loses his childhood home it would be like death to him. He also expressed that he is ashamed of himself. So ashamed.

The County wants $8,000 up front and $2700 a month until his debt is paid off. They will start these proceedings at the end of January. Mike receives $840 in disability a month. Mike has no transportation. He has a lot of time at home, and that is the reason he has time to write such beautiful poetry to so many of us during hard times we go through. Mike's home is the only thing he has in his life to call his own.

Our hearts broke for him . Kerry and I thought that we would just reach out to all of you to see if any of you would like to help him. Please pray about this, and know, if you can't thats okay .
