Please help Mediatrice (MeMe) and her family

Life has instantly changed for our loved Educator and friend, Mediatrice (Me Me). Sadly, her husband, Issaka, has been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, and their world has been turned upside down. This has meant that Me Me has only been able to work a reduced roster.

Unfortunately, Me Me has exhausted all of her leave options, and while Horizons (her workplace) has been offering additional financial support, they can not continue to do so in the long term. The limited government assistance available won’t be enough to cover their mortgage or the daily care of their two beautiful young daughters, Queen and Sarah. With her husband far too ill to work and Me Me now his carer and sole source of income for the household, the financial strain on their family is overwhelming.

Despite these unimaginable challenges, Me Me continues to be the strong, kind-hearted, and devoted person we all know and love. But she can’t do this alone.

We are reaching out to our Horizons community —friends, family, and kind strangers—to help ease the burden on Me Me and her family. Your donation, no matter the amount, will go directly toward:
