Please help me Grandma
Donation protected
I am writing today with a heartfelt plea for support during one of the most difficult times my family has faced.
Earlier this year, my grandmother traveled from our home country Romania to spend some precious time with me and my young son. What was meant to be a joyful visit quickly turned into a crisis—she suffered her first stroke five days before her departure and has been hospitalized ever since March.
The experience has been overwhelming. My grandmother is a deeply loved and vital part of our family, and watching her fight to recover has been both painful and inspiring. Her doctors have recommended one full month of rehabilitation, which is essential for her to regain strength, mobility, and stability. Without it, her chances of recovery are at serious risk.
However, we are facing a heartbreaking barrier: my grandmother is undocumented, and because of this, she does not qualify for any public assistance or insurance coverage. The cost of the rehabilitation program is $20,000 for just one month—an amount far beyond what I can manage on my own as I juggle caring for both her and my son.
This is why I am turning to you with humility and hope. Your support can help give my grandmother the chance to heal and live with dignity. Every contribution, no matter the amount, will bring us closer to the care she desperately needs. If you’re unable to donate, sharing our story would also mean the world to us.
Thank you for taking the time to read this and for considering supporting my family during this urgent and vulnerable moment. We are grateful beyond words for any help you can provide.
