Please help me get 50 50 custody of my daughters
Donation protected
Friends and family, I’m humbly asking from the bottom of my heart for monetary donations to afford a Child Custody Attorney to try and get more time with my daughters, Reese and Fiona. If you’re unable to donate for any reason, don’t have disposable income you can part with, or anything at all…no hard feelings, I love you just the same. If you could donate even five dollars, I would be forever grateful. I recently contacted a few Child Custody Attorneys in Oakland County, they are not cheap, which is why I haven’t tried to fight for this sooner, I cannot afford it on my own. My employer offers an employee benefit through Lincoln Financial, where they have a few attorneys in a network that offer a 25% off discounted rate; I chose one of them I feel can help represent me and my case of a good father simply asking to get to see his daughters the same amount as their mother does. The retainer/startup cost for this discounted attorney to take case is $3,800.00, which is a crazy amount of money.
It’s an embarrassing and humbling feeling to ask for financial help, particularly when it’s not a life and death situation, but I’ve learned that you will never get help with something, if you don’t ask for it. If you would like to know how I ended up not having 50/50 physical custody of my daughters, which is the norm in Oakland County, I would be more than happy to tell you the entire story privately. I considered explaining the entire story of how my ex-wife tried to take my daughters away from me at the end of my divorce, why her parents paid a high-powered Attorney to try to get sole custody of Reese and Fiona, but I will save her the embarrassment. The truth is Reese and Fiona often ask me why they can only see me every other weekend, and every Wednesday after 4pm, and I don’t have an answer for them any longer. Seven-year-old girls should be able to see their father as often as they see their mother, especially if their father is a good man that loves them more than anything in the world. Thanks for listening. <3 Jake
