Hello! My name is Marcela and I'm here asking for help with my living situation.
I work full time as a pharmacy technician and been doing it for 6 years now. I absolutely love my career and worked hard for it after finding out I was pregnant with my son, Hunter.
I am a mother of a 5 year old, soon to be 6 this month, and I have 2 cuddly black cats named Atticus and Gatsby. They are 3 years old and I've had them since they were kittens. Both are neutered and vaccinated.

Back in August 2023, I moved into my very first apartment with my child and the next month ended up losing my job as a pharmacy technician at Rite Aid. Unfortunately, I was not able to make rent and was evicted from the apartment with 9 day eviction notice.

Fast forward to February of 2026, my current landlord, who I've been renting out his house privately since April of 2024, is retiring and wants to move back to the house I'm renting from in Deschutes River Woods. So I was given a 90 day notice unfortunately. I have until May 1st to move out.
Since then, I've been applying to many different places, but been denied in all of them (11 places so far) due to my eviction background. When I appealed one of my denials, the property management said I needed to provide proof of payment towards my eviction and then they can approve me with my own apartment. They guided me on what my next plan should be and followed through by calling the prior apartments that I was evicted from.
I gave them a call, but unfortunately, the amount owed is now in collections. So I was given the information to call collections by the landlord of those apartments and the collection agency said I had to pay $4000 in order to show proof of payment. I was told by the apartments that I appealed to that I owed $1100 and that I was willing to pay that now, but I need to show the property some proof to show I did infact paid ror what I owed on their end. But there was no negotiating with collections unfortunately.
With that being said, I'm in need of help by paying off this eviction and move in costs of this new apartment that I know I'd be accepted to so long as I provide proof of paying off eviction debt. I already have over $2.5k saved, but now I'm asking for help for the rest. Anything helps and I can provide proof of what I'm asking for if needed.

I just need a place for me, my son, and my 2 cats. I've been trying to find a place privately, but I haven't had any luck because it's so few and far between in Bend, Oregon with private renters and most places are not accepting pets/having my son every other week.
Thank you for reading this far and I appreciate anything that helps me and my small family out. Even if it's sharing this post
