Hello, I am a newly single mom to 2 boys, 4 and 1. We were recently hit by a car that ran a red light which totaled our car. The other driver was taken away in an ambulance, and we still have not been able to get a police report or find out if she had insurance, so I have been carless for over a month. The family I have nearby who have multiple cars have been unable to help me because their cars are not "kid cars," so I have been walking numerous miles a day with and without the kids to do errands like the grocery store and swim lessons. This morning it was raining, and my older son had swim lessons. I wasn't sure if we would be able to walk there but luckily, it cleared up. It made me think I do need to ask for help. I need to get a safe car for my boys to provide them with the necessary things. Tonight Crash got sick, and I thought I wouldn't even have a way to get him to a hospital if something happened. I have a flexible full-time job to take care of my boys, but I don't have any other help or child support for now. All of my money is going to rent and food for my kids. I truly appreciate any donation.
