Please Help Liz Beat Breast Cancer

Donation protected
A Message from Liz:

“I have been living in a challenging reality since receiving this diagnosis.

I found a mass in my left breast in May that I quickly had checked out.

After a blur of appointments, mammograms, ultrasounds, and painful needles, my radiologist called with the news.

It was cancer.

I will need a mastectomy, which is an amputation of my breast, and up to 20 lymph nodes will be removed from my chest and underarm, followed by major reconstructive surgery and radiation treatments.

I am currently 4 weeks into chemotherapy, with 16 weeks to go.

My mind and spirit are strong after many years devoted to strengthening and healing myself.

Now, my body has spoken and my heart space has called for attention.

I am now in a space of deep presence, surrender and “the unknown” as I walk through the fire of this intense medical journey.

And as I face this uncertainty, I feel a trust in myself, as well as my medical and heavenly teams. My late father and grandparents, and guardian angels are close by my side.

Most of all, I trust God.

His love surrounds me and shows He is ever present.

I am grateful for you taking the time to read my story, and considering making a donation, or simply sharing this fundraiser if you are unable to donate at this time.

Please raise me up in your thoughts and prayers.

Also, take this as a tale of caution around the importance of breast health.

There is an uptick in young women like myself being diagnosed.

Give yourself breast exams and always err on the side of caution if you detect something suspicious.

It could save your life.

In gratitude,

Liz”

Liz is someone who we are truly blessed to call our best friend. She is a beautiful, generous, and caring soul - an enthusiastic and supportive friend and family member who lives her life sharing her contagious laughter, guidance, and joy.

Today, we invite you to consider the tough journey that our dear friend, Liz, is walking, and to stand by her side her by donating whatever amount you are able.

In mid June of this year, Liz was diagnosed with an aggressive form of breast cancer. This came as a great shock, of course, as she is only 33.

What an overwhelming thing to learn, to grieve, to wrap our minds and arms around:

Cancer so close to the heart of a lifelong singer, a healing circle facilitator, a non-profit leader, a woman who strives to bring life to us all.

Anyone who has met Liz, knows she is one of the most kind hearted and bright souls you will find on this Earth.

We humbly ask you to please urgently donate, and share this fundraiser.

We ask you to step closer now as we join Liz in her visualizing her healing:

The alleviation of medical bills currently racked up on high-interest credit cards – our crowd of love will fund her medical care for the next year.

A safety net for Liz and her caretaker - her Mother, Pat - to rest in as they both step away from work and move into full time care – our creation of an abundant pool of money will provide, making sure the mortgage is paid and the fridge is filled with high-quality foods that Liz needs now more than ever for her healing.

The release of shame in the vulnerability of need during this unexpected medical crisis – our vast response reveals the power of BIG love in action.

Every day, we are given the opportunity to feel how precious life truly is, and act in loving response.

A message from Liz’s mom, Pat, who raised her and her brother Dan as a widowed single mother since 1999, and is now fully retiring at 71 in order to support Liz heal from this cancer.

“Despite all of the advancements and research, Cancer is terrifying. It’s been heartbreaking for me and her brother to see her suffer. Liz bravely started chemotherapy on July 16th and will continue for the next four months. Every weekly treatment brings fear of intense side effects and dreaded hair loss. She will also face heartbreaking surgeries and radiation in the coming year.

Liz has gathered all her emotional strength to cope with the overwhelming distress and transforms this energy into a remarkable faith, fight and resilience.

She is extremely strong - a lifelong helper, giver, and lover of all. And she needs help.

Please help support Liz financially by contributing any amount towards paying for her mounting medical bills and monthly expenses.”
