Please help Krishnarao Chadalawada's family

Krishnarao Chadalawada, an NRI IT professional from Ongole, was diagnosed with Leukemia in May 2022. Since then, he had been battling the disease alone, with his only support being his part-time working wife, who also stays home to take care of their 4-year-old daughter Aarna and 9-year-old school-going daughter Dhriti, who still doesn’t fully understand why her dad is in the hospital and not at home with her.

He is no longer able to support even his aged widowed mother and dependant sibling who had multiple bypass surgeries, who currently lives in Ongole, Andhra Pradesh

His work life — the only source of income for the family — was severely disrupted. Over time, his financial stability collapsed due to unpaid medical leave and inability to work, travel, daily family needs and repatriation. Coming from a lower-middle-class, agriculture-based family, Krishna had high aspirations. Like many of his peers, he moved to the UK to work in IT through Wipro in 2018 — something he was truly good at. What he could not prepare for was being diagnosed with cancer at such a young age — at 41 years old.

The pulmonologists and experts at Newham Hospital, London (E13 8SL, UK) treating him with utmost care, but more than three years of painful chemotherapy and a transplant could not save him. Over the last ten months, he also developed a lung infection (small volume pneumomediastinum) and fought for his life — surviving only on liquid intake until the end. He was a modest person, with few friends outside of his professional circle, and no family in the UK. But even after his diagnosis, he never lost hope and bravely fought a three-year-long battle with unmatched resilience.

All alone and no one to lean on, Jhansi is now faced with this grave reality of losing family's sole bread earner. She now faces not only the emotional weight of his loss but also the financial strain and ongoing responsibility of caring and educating their young daughters.

We are reaching out to friends, family, and kind-hearted members of the community to support Jhansi, Dhriti, and Aarna during this incredibly difficult time. Your generous donations will go directly toward:

Paying outstanding medical and funeral expenses
Providing financial support for their basic living needs
Ensuring uninterrupted childcare and education for the children

This is the most meaningful way we can show Krishna that he was never alone, and his family will not be left in uncertainty. We, as fellow NRIs and members of the extended community, can stand by his family — emotionally and financially — when they need us most.

Beyond financial assistance, we ask for your prayers, your thoughts, and your presence—whether through sharing this message or offering words of comfort. Your kindness and compassion mean more than words can express.

We are deeply grateful for your support as we navigate this heartbreaking journey. Thank you, from the depths of our hearts.

With sincere appreciation,
Amarnath Kolla and other Friends
