Jen had her surgery now needs help with bills while off work

-- Surgery is Feb 20 at 7:30 am in Edmonton .

Open heart surgery to remove 4 cm tumour was a success February 20 at the Mazenkowski Heart Centre. All the tumour was removed from the inside of the left atrium and a patch placed. Titanium wires used to hold breastbone and ribs together. She was moved from intensive care to the ward the next day. Discharged on February 24. Pathology on tumour determined it to be benign. As of April 1 cardiologist said it will be May 1 before able to start strengthening and doing any lifting. By end of May hopefully be able to return doing everything she had been before surgery. Total time off work will be three months and with only part time EI benefit for income to cover mortgages, bills and etc; any assistance would help.
