My Uncle Norman is in the hospital. He has taken a fall that caused a brain injury. We are hoping to get him to a rehab facility soon. Sometimes he is aware for a short time, then halfway through a conversation or even a sentence, he will revert back to random thoughts and memories. As we know, traumatic brain injuries can take a long time to recover from; some recover, while others don’t recover much. We are hopeful that will not be the case and that the Norman we all know and love will come back to us.

Unfortunately, he was the breadwinner of his household. His wife and daughter, my cousin and aunt, are struggling, trying to get back and forth to see him and pay the bills since they are both on disability. They are trying to get to the hospital as often as they can, but Uber costs add up quickly. I wanted to do something to help them be here for him and with him as much as possible while also trying to stay afloat with the bills.

I know I have scrolled past many of these and wasn’t able to help, while others I have donated to when I could.

So, we completely understand if no one can help, but if you can share and say a little prayer for my Uncle Norman and his family, we would all appreciate it so much. He’s always been rock steady and unbreakable.
