Please help Henry’s mummy & daddy look after him

Hi I’m Rudi, the Aunty of a gorgeous little boy called Henry Hall who is 2 years old.

He has a lovely Mummy & Daddy - Louise Reed and Cameron Hall. Big sister Sophia (10) and little brother Theodore (1)

Tragically on the 10th of February our little Henry was diagnosed with a large brain tumour at southend hospital and taken to Great Ormond Street Hospital.

It all happened so very suddenly. 4 weeks ago Henry’s mood changed. He was very emotional and would wake in the middle of the night screaming. He started getting sore heads and developed a wobbly walk like a little drunk man. Last week he fell down the stairs at home and was taken to A&E with his daddy to be checked out. The doctor found Henry to be well and wanted to send him home. It was only after his daddy mentioned that he had been wobbly on his feet recently that the doctor decided to keep him in for tests. He was diagnosed with EDS (EHLERS-DANLOS SYNDROME)  and sent home that night.

Over the next few days Henry’s walk got worse. He couldn’t walk in a straight line and had to hold onto things to stop himself falling over. His Mummy called the Doctor at the hospital and persuaded him to do an MRI. On Wednesday the 10th of February Henry went for his MRI at Southend hospital. The results were devastating. They found a large tumour on his little brain. Henry was then sent by an ambulance on blue lights to Great Ormond street hospital with his daddy (due to Covid only one parent can be with Henry at one time)  on the 11th of February Henry had another MRI which showed a further 3 tumour spots in his spine (which Chemotherapy will hopefully destroy)

On the morning of the 12th of February Henry had his operation to remove up to 95% of the brain tumour. The operation was a success and the brilliant surgical team removed as much as they could which was a large portion of it. Henry is now recovering from his major operation before starting the first of a prolonged course of aggressive Chemotherapy and radiotherapy.

Louise is a stay at home mummy to her 3 children which means Cameron is the only one bringing an income into the household. With Henry being so ill his daddy has had to leave his job on compassionate grounds for the foreseeable meaning his income will be reduced.  On top of this terrible situation Cameron and Louise have the worry of their bills to pay and other expenses which they will struggle to afford after their small savings have run out. One parent is always at GOSH with Henry whilst the other is at home with their other two children trying to keep things as normal as they possibly can for them.

I’ve set up this page to try help this wonderful  family, to take some of the worry from them so they can concentrate on getting Henry through this.

Any leftover funds from donations will be split between Great Ormond Street Hospital and children’s brain tumour research fund.

I honestly can’t put into words what a beautiful, smart little boy Henry is. He has the best smile and the most wonderful little personality.

Any donation no matter how small would be greatly appreciated and would help the family massively.

thank you for taking the time to read.  Please check back for updates on how this little fighter is progressing ❤️
