Hello,

My name is Nathalie Cepeda and I am Ubi's half-sister. I am starting this GoFundMe to help my brother with his mom's burial expenses. These last couple of years have been hard on my brother and his family as they watched their mom struggle with dementia and other health problems. Ubi had to leave his job to become his moms full-time caregiver, for she was facing deportation and services could not be provided. As you can imagine, this has not only been emotionally draining but also financially. For this reason, we are reaching out to all friends and family to help us honor and farewell Alma as the queen she was.

To those of you that didn't get the honor of meeting her, Alma Fachita Cruz was brave, strong, straightforward and to sum her up in one word CHINGONA. Life wasn't easy for her, but she kept her head high and pushed forward, keeping her kindness and good heart. Her children were her world and everything she did and didn't do had to do with them. So, today we ask that you hold your mom a little tighter because one son will lay his head to rest and dream about holding his one last time.

Mi nombre es Nathalie Cepeda y soy media hermana de Ubi. Estoy comenzando este GoFundMe para ayudar a mi hermano con los gastos del entierro de su madre. Estos últimos dos años han sido duros para mi hermano y su familia, ya que vieron a su madre luchar contra la demencia y otros problemas de salud. Ubi tuvo que dejar su trabajo para convertirse en el cuidador de tiempo completo de su madre, ya que ella enfrentaba deportación y no se podían proporcionar servicios de ayuda por el gobierno. Como pueden imaginar, esto no solo ha sido agotador emocionalmente sino también financieramente. Por esta razón, nos estamos acercando a todos los amigos y familiares para pedirles su apoyo en honrar y despedir a Alma como la reina que fue.

Para los que no tuvieron el honor de conocerla, Alma Fachita Cruz fue valiente, fuerte, sencilla y para resumirla en una palabra CHINGONA. La vida no fue fácil para ella, pero mantuvo la cabeza en alto y siguió adelante, manteniendo su bondad y buen corazón. Sus hijos eran su mundo y todo lo que hacía y dejaba de hacer tenía que ver con ellos. Ayudo a mucha gente y se preocupo por mas y su recuerdo siempre estara con nostros.

Entonces, hoy te pedimos que abraces a tu mamá un poco más fuerte porque un hijo descansará su cabeza y soñará con abrazar a su madre una vez mas.
