Tom Cochrane was an amazing dad, partner, brother, neighbour and friend. He brought tremendous energy and life to everything he did - as a musician, sailor and life companion.
Horrendously, a few days ago - out of nowhere - he suffered a massive stroke at the age of just 61.
As his neighbours we are going to miss Tom, his energy and vitality, but of course his family will be hit hardest by the suddenness of the loss and the huge gap he leaves.
Tom's youngest child is just nine. Before Tom died he was rebuilding the boat where he and his family live on the Thames. It was a huge job that he undertook with his usual energy and skill. But sadly he won’t now be able to finish it - and in its current state it’s pretty hard to live in. Part open roof, half finished plumbing, not even a working door to keep out the weather. We want to help his family finish what Tom started and do up the boat so they have somewhere safe, warm and homely to recover in - and to help complete Tom’s vision for his family's home.
We estimate the rest of the work will cost around £16,000. Anything we raise beyond that will go to his partner to contribute towards funeral costs and covering the gap in income that Tom’s death will leave.
Please help us rebuild in Tom’s absence by donating and importantly share this with anyone else you know who might want to help.
A reminder that you can lower the tip to GoFundMe with the slider on the next Donate page.
