Hello Everyone,
This GoFundMe is for a very special 10 year old boy named Elijah.
My name is Tiffany and I am Elijah's Cousin. I've started this campaign to raise money for this beautiful young man's future.
On March 2, 2017, Elijah, his Mother and 2 brothers (ages 2 &3), were driving on the highway and tragically crashed through a guardrail and into the LA Aqueduct. Elijah recalls the car flipping multiple times, freeing himself from his seatbelt, and attempting to help his brothers who in his words, "wouldn't wake up" before he was pulled from the wreckage. Elijah was the sole survivor of the accident.
Unfortunately Elijah's circumstances stretch beyond this unbelievably tragic accident.
Elijah has been diagnosed with extreme Autism since the age of 2. His evaluation after the accident also concluded that his growth and mental development were comparable to a child much younger than his current age.
Prior to the accident, Elijah was living full-time with his mother. Elijah's biological father has been incarcerated since he was 4, however his parents, Elijah's grandparents, Veronica and Ray Madrid have welcomed Elijah into their home. And while they are overjoyed that they can provide a solid home and peaceful environment for him, they were not financially prepared.
Elijah needs both physical and mental therapy to help with his Autism, the accident, and his broken heart.
The only issue is that Veronica and Ray have both been relatively unemployed collecting disability as they've battled cancer over the past 10 years. So money is tight.
Could you please find it in your heart to donate and assist Veronica and Ray in providing an excellent and therapeutic life for Elijah?
Funds raised will go towards medical expenses along with future expenses for his care and well-being.
He is the sweetest boy and we are truly appreciative for anything that you can offer during this time of need.
