Glenn Johnson is an outstanding husband, dad, Paw Paw and friend to so many. Glenn has worked numerous jobs as a paramedic (and sometimes more than one at a time) to provide for his family. He and his wife (my mom) Vicky have been caring for her mom who has end stages of dementia for several years now. Glenn and my mom have and would help anyone that needed them whether it was financially or physically and now THEY NEED OUR HELP.

Recently, Glenn had been admitted to the cardiac unit at East Alabama Medical Center in Opelika with stage 4 congestive heart failure. His heart is functioning at about 10% of its capacity. Glenn’s world and ability to support his family changed instantly.

Our focus now is all about strengthening his heart and keeping him comfortable. There was talk about a pacemaker but because his heart is not strong enough the pacemaker is not an option. He will have to go for a Dobutamine transfusion/drip every week which will take about 6 hours and someone will have to stay with him during this time. Mom will need help on these days with getting a sitter to be there at home with her mom.
