Please help Dylan Weber get back on his feet

Hi everyone! Hope this message finds you all well.
This year has been incredibly difficult for many, but it has been especially difficult for our best bud Dylan. Dylan is an ambitious and creative soul, a dependable friend, and someone we would describe as “self-made”. This year has thrown him for a whirlwind, and for as long as we’ve known him, this is the first time life’s challenges have absolutely knocked him off his feet. Earlier in the year, Dylan lost his childhood best friend, Phebe, a vivacious and scrappy four-legged friend. As his friends for over ten years, we’ve visited his childhood home over the years and were always welcomed by Phebe’s playful bites and banter. This loss was very hard for Dylan and his family.
Then, after many years of loyalty, his job had let him go about two months ago due to unfair partiality given to the employer’s friends rather than their long term employees. After weeks without a job and trying to figure out how to pay rent, he landed a position canvassing for the ongoing election. Ever since high school, Dylan has been a community advocate and devotes much of his time to community outreach, and to rally political participation. However, this job is not permanent and we as his friends are looking to help him in any way we can.
Dylan’s unfortunate events continued about two weeks ago when a driver ran a red light causing Dylan to swerve and crash into another car. The driver who ran the red fled the scene, leaving the two damaged cars to their own devices. After struggling to pay his bills on time, Dylan’s insurance lapsed a single day, and go figure, that day he gets into a car accident. He is now being sued by the other driver at the scene without any assistance from insurance.
Finally, late at night on October 25th, Dylan arrives home from work to find that his house has been broken into. His possessions were stolen, including his laptop and studio mics that he uses to create music and art. More importantly, his security and sense of safety was robbed.
Dylan is never the type to ask for help, even when he’s struggled the most. But at any single moment that we needed help or needed a friend, he was there for us. If you’ve ever met Dylan, you know just how palpable his kindness and generosity is. He’s a wonderful person under a string of extremely unfortunate events. We as his friends want him to feel secure and help him in any way we can. He’s been our friend for over ten years and we want to do everything in our power to be there for him.
If you know of anyone that can help, please pass this on. All donations will go to Dylan’s lawyer expenses, car damages, and help him replace his stolen equipment. If you know of any job opportunities, please reach out to us.
Thank you all.
Best,
Elena, Elisa, Elison, Joseph, Nathan, Rachel, Simon, Tommy, and Wendy.
