My mum  would never put her needs first always wanting to put a smile on other people's faces making sure everyone's okay.
she always stated to us kids listening to someone is a special gift so many people put their own needs and wants first, being there is at another level that gives you an understanding of life love and support.

She maybe my mum I listen but I know the difficult time my mums been through over the last year and a half.
No one would know and she would not say much as in her eyes others are worse off.
She maybe right but her struggles have been real and strength has been grasped within her.

I’m trying to help raise funds or get anyone handy to give my mum a hand.
I’m the eldest of 3 siblings and I want to help my dad and mum out where-ever possible.

Last year February 2023,dad was rushed to ED complaining of sharp abdominal pains.
After arrival he had scans being operated in emergency surgery.
After a long 14 hrs it was discovered that his colon and stomach ruptured as well as a mass on his colon.
which was malignant cancer of the colon, due to extensive damage and lengthy surgery a colostomy bag was added. With days in icu and a near death experience he woke with not only an addition to his body but the known fact that he had stage 3 cancer.
After knowing he needed lengthy time of work due to surgery and intense chemotherapy treatment every fortnight for four days one day in the hospital chair, and three days with 24hrs pump treatment at home,
He couldn't work but once the pump was taken off no matter how sick he was he took himself to work still to this day he has amazed everyone.
His determination to not let his work team down, but the positive mental ability that helped dad through every step of his treatment was to still support his family, but do the job his done since 16 and now nearly 46 years old.

He is bloody good at it loves to teach the young ones, with all the uncertainties that were thrown at him some faced some not,he had one thing he knew with certainty outside of his family by his side was his job.

Two weeks ago dad was going in for surgery to have his colostomy bag changed to an ileseotomy which is a progress procedure to perhaps one day to have a full reversal.

This took place 11/6/24
After another lengthy surgery things Didn’t go to plan there were complications.
A few weeks of uncertainty they discovered the issue.
Still remaining in hospital with no progress,
Dad on the 24/6/24 went into surgery to try and rectify the issues that had occurred many.
His mental health already at a  low and after another lengthy surgery dad is now in ICU in a coma, on the 25/6/24,more lengthy surgery took place in a coma.
Dads had issues with his colon urethra abdomen bladder and kidney that all had something reconstructed or operated on.
On the 28/6/24 dads progressing breathing on his own been more small set backs but positive snall steps forward. He is a fighter.
1/7/24 Dad still remains in icu, taking one day at a time with the unknown and a long road  ahead.

Mum takes time when she can to work, leaving dads bedside to get a form of income often getting minimal sleep and soldiering on.
She would not state how exhausted she is to anyone she will say she's okay and always ask how people are. Reason also being to leave her high school sweethearts side, while dads in hospital, the company that was so good towards dad throughout his entire treatment allowing him to keep his job.
Work when he could,Has sadly had to shut the business and dad is now with no job.
He has no idea we are all concerned cause this kept his mental ability and gave him strength and certainty.

Mum says we are in a storm so many people are but we will be okay we have eachother.

I know my parents they would help anyone
They have renovations that started before dad fell ill and arnt finished as with financial pressures money has had to be used elsewhere.
Any amount will help greatly for dads recovery
And financial stresses.
