Please Help Diana's Children
It is with deep sadness that we share that our friend, Diana Maksymowicz, passed away on Friday, August 6, 2021. As many of you know, after Diana bravely fought breast cancer, she was diagnosed last year with Leukemia. Diana underwent many grueling treatments, including a bone marrow transplant. She then developed Graft Versus Host Disease and ultimately passed away fighting this illness. Diana was the strongest, most positive person we know. She approached every day with a fierce will to beat her illness. For more details about Diana, please view our original Go Fund Me Page https://www.gofundme.com/f/u5q8uw-help-diana-fight-leukemia
Diana leaves behind two beautiful daughters, 6 year old Sia and 4 year old Jerika. They both share their mother's spirit and joy for life. Now, in the wake of losing our beloved friend, we need to come together to help Diana's daughters. They are in the caring hands of a trusted family friend who will provide them with all the love and attention they deserve. Any donation you can give is appreciated in order to help with all the expenses of raising the girls: clothing, school supplies, after-school classes, camps, medical needs, and all the other everyday needs to help the children grow up happy and healthy. (Please note that the money you contribute is going directly to the girls' new guardian, Julianna Wisse, who will use the money to take care of the girls; additional funds may be put in a Trust for them.)
Diana was the most generous person. She was always eager to help people and animals, even when she was struggling herself. We hope we can use this page to show the same generosity of spirit to her children. Together, through the Go Fund Me page we started for Diana when she was first diagnosed with Leukemia, we raised over $25,000. Let's see if we can now do the same to help her girls.
Thank you so much in advance for your generosity.
Love, Andrea Stern and Dana Valenti
