As many of you may have seen in our recent update about Cookie, her stomach has been healing very nicely and she’s slowly gaining weight. Unfortunately, the skin on her back has not been improving. It has continued to leak pus and simply won’t heal. Because of this, we have to put her under anesthesia so the doctors can take several biopsies from different areas of her body to understand what’s going on.

Her veterinarians have never seen a skin condition quite like this- so severe, raw, and persistently infected that nothing so far has helped. We are praying it’s nothing sinister.
