Imagine being a child on October 7th and watching your parents and family murdered. Or being a child in Gaza and losing your family and home. A child should never be forced to lose their loved ones when they still are so vulnerable and young. My name is Audrey, and I am going to be 13 years old in April. My Bat Mitzvah is in March and a part of that is doing a Mitzvah project. For a while I had trouble deciding on a Mitzvah project, but then I thought deeper and realized who needs help more than the kids in Israel who have lost their parents on October 7th. I can't imagine losing my parents or living through a war and so much destruction as such a small kid. I remember reading the diary of Anne Frank and learning about the Holocaust in Sunday school. I remember thinking about how brutal it was and I never want something like that to happen ever again. I hope raising money helps make a difference in Israel and for the kids who are struggling. The donation is for the Children in Israel Fund and the money will go to directly to this organization to support children in Israel who are victims of trauma.
