This Christmas season, I’m reaching out on behalf of my dear friend Carrie Lynch, a woman who has endured more heartbreak and hardship over the past couple years than anyone should ever have to face. Last year, Carrie suffered the unimaginable loss of her daughter. In her grief, she stepped forward with remarkable strength and love to raise her young grandson, becoming his stability, support, and safe place. Even while coping with her loss, Carrie worked two jobs to provide for him and keep their lives steady.

But in the past few weeks, everything changed. She was unexpectedly let go from one of her jobs, and on December 3, 2025, her primary workplace was damaged by a fire. Her main source of income—especially the tips she relied on—vanished overnight. Now, with Christmas approaching, Carrie is without income and trying to care for her grandson with no clear path forward.

All donations will go directly to daily living expenses for Carrie Lynch and her grandson while she searches for new employment. This includes essentials like rent, utilities, groceries, and childcare. Gift cards for groceries, gas, or household needs are also welcome and can be picked up or mailed directly to Carrie.
