In a single moment, Teresa’s life changed forever — now she needs our help to rebuild it.
We, Teresa’s family and friends, are reaching out with heavy hearts, asking for your support during one of the most difficult times of her life.
On Valentine’s Day 2026, Teresa was suddenly rushed to hospital and underwent emergency surgery after suffering a life-threatening ruptured brain aneurysm. In the confusion and disorientation at home, the incident also led to devastating damage, including a fire and flooding — leaving not only her health, but her home, in crisis.
Teresa spent a week in the ICU, bravely fighting for her life. Since then, she has been moved through the Neurology ward and is now in Rehabilitation. While she is slowly regaining awareness, her journey ahead will be long, uncertain, and filled with challenges that no one should have to face alone.
Many of you will have crossed paths with Teresa in the community. You may remember her warm smile and kind nature — whether it was a friendly chat in the street, time spent at the local dog park walking her beloved dog Lily, or those peaceful early mornings at the Bellbowrie pool where she loved to swim. Teresa is someone who has quietly touched so many lives, simply by being who she is.
Now, she needs that same kindness and community around her.
As Teresa begins this long road to recovery, we are asking for your help. Your support will go towards her ongoing medical care, rehabilitation, and helping rebuild her home and life. No donation is too small — every contribution is a step toward giving Teresa the chance to heal and regain her independence.
If you are unable to donate, simply sharing this page or keeping Teresa in your thoughts and prayers means more than words can express.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for your compassion, your generosity, and for helping Teresa through this incredibly difficult journey.
