Please help bring Gina home

In 2006, Gina was 6 months pregnant when her doctor informed her that an emergency c-section was needed to prevent health complications and health risks in the long run. The doctors later diagnosed her with both anemia and an autoimmune disease called systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), commonly known as Lupus.

Over the next few years, she had countless blood transfusions and so many hospital stays. Her symptoms eventually led to kidney failure, which resulted in the doctors suggesting dialysis. At first, Gina was afraid and was hesitant. But after a month of consultation with her support system, she went all in for the treatment recommended.

After a year went by, her doctor suggested moving abroad so that she could be on the kidney transplant list which was highly recommended to prolong her life. Gina moved to Oklahoma in August 2022 in hopes of bettering her chances. But after 16 years of fighting this disease, she left us on May 13th.

We, the family, are asking for your help to bring Gina back home so that we can lay her to rest alongside her two babies. We know it’s what she would have wanted. This campaign will help for the cost of her transit, the funeral home, and other funeral expenses. Any amount is tremendously appreciated, no matter how big or small. Please help us bring her home.

06/14/2023: We want to thank everyone so much for their love and support. We also wanted to provide you all with an update on the current plan on laying Gina to rest. Due to the costs included in transport, funeral home, and burial services, we’ve decided that cremation was the best course of action. Please know that all support from this campaign will instead be used to pay for any costs needed for the funeral arrangements.
