Hi my name is Jackie .

i am from Scotland in the UK.

Firstly I would like to say a warm welcome to this go fund page me .

I was very welcomed at this wonderful children’s home in Diani Kenya by the staff and also the children however they are in very desperate help of some help.

They do not get help from the government, and solely rely on donations which is certainly not a lot.

At present their living situation is in a very bad way due to their home being so damaged due to floods.

The roof was so damaged the flood caused total destruction.

A new roof has now been constructed due to funds and new tiling on the floor has also been installed.

some of the outside render of the building has been also newly done due to mould and dampness within the building walls .

They are in desperate need of metal grills for the windows safety also.

Every single room has no ceiling whatsoever so that would be a huge goal and such an achievement if that could be completed.

At present all the children are sleeping on floors and mattresses with no beds as all the beds were damaged also with the floods.

They have basic cooking facilities and all the cooking has to be done outside on an open fire as their kitchen was also ruined in floods.

To have a basic working kitchen indoors would be such an important necessity for all of the children.

Its these things that we from the UK take for granted .

The boys do not have a shower as that is also badly broken and needs a major repair as well as the toilet area .

A water hold is being worked on at the moment but due to lack of funds it has been a very long process for them all.

It would be an amazing achievement if we would all kindly open our hearts and remember even though it’s tough in the UK with the cost of living crisis that we should truly count our blessings.

If any of my friends, neighbours etc would kindly help the kids .

it would be such a help to the local pastor at the Born again children’s home and most importantly all the beautiful loving children’s as they struggle to pay for simply things like water, electricity and education for all the kids .
