Hello,
The newest addition to our family baby Gabby was born on February 5th with a type of Neural Tube Deffect (NTDs) called Spina Bifida. NTDs can affect a baby’s spine, spinal cord, or brain. It usually happens in the first month of pregnancy when a mother doesn’t even know she’s pregnant. Some types of NTDs can cause stillborn/death. Fortunately, this type of NTDs is the most common, but can cause complications such as paralysis if not treated. Baby Gabby will be traveling to San Diego, CA for emergency surgery to correct damage, prevent further damage, and relieve pain. New parents Anastaesha and Jokin will be traveling with their new baby girl to seek treatment for Gabby at Rady Children Hospital along with Ana’s oldest sister Lataesha. They all need our help and support through their journey for extended stay in California. The surgery needs to happen soon after the baby is born and recovery can be between 1-4 weeks depending on Gabby’s progress. They need help with food and lodging for up to 1 month in an expensive state. This is the best solution for these new parents to get the help their daughter needs. They will be in a place they’ve never been, therefore Lataesha will be with them during this difficult journey. Roughly they will need $150-$180 per day for a rental as close as possible to the hospital along with minimum $100 a week per person for food. We are looking to raise about $6,000-$7000. Anything helps and appreciate any support you can give. We hope you can find it in your heart to help and see the urgency of this surgery for Gabriella to have a chance at a normal, strong, and healthy future.❤️
