Once again, we opened our shelter to a heartbreaking sight. Outside the door was a taped-up box. Inside, we found a neglected cat in deplorable condition. He was filthy, matted, and lethargic. One eye is badly injured, his jaw hangs open, and the poor cat hisses in pain if we try to touch him. We rushed him to the hospital immediately and named him Echo. We’ll do everything we can to save Echo’s life, but we cannot do it alone.
