It’s with deep sorrow that I share the heartbreaking news of my dad’s passing. He left us unexpectedly due to a rare brain aneurysm, and our hearts are shattered by this sudden loss.

My dad was so much more than words could ever express—he was a loving father, a steadfast friend, and an incredible person who brought joy and warmth to everyone he met. Above all, he deeply loved my mom and showed us every day what it means to cherish and support the people you love. Their bond was an inspiration, and his love for her was truly one of a kind.

As we navigate this difficult time, we ask for your thoughts and prayers to surround our family with love and comfort. We are grateful for the support of friends and loved ones who have reached out to us.

His memorial will be held at the Bridgeport community center on Sunday, January 5th, from 3-6pm, with Donald McMaster speaking at 4pm.

Thank you for keeping my dad in your prayers. He will always be missed and never forgotten.

Saturday, December 7th, our family started to face a heartbreaking challenge. My dad, Alexander Hastings, the loving, husband, and father of 8 children and grandfather to 7, has suffered a rare brain aneurysm and is currently in the ICU. We are holding onto hope and faith as he fights through this difficult time.

For those who have reached out asking how they can help, we have set up a donation fund to assist with medical expenses and support for his care. Alex was the sole provider. Any contribution, no matter how small, would mean the world to us as we navigate this challenging journey. We will keep you updated as we learn more.
